Code 39

Code 39 (ISO/IEC 16388)

An older but widely supported linear barcode encoding 43 characters: uppercase letters (A–Z), digits (0–9), and special characters (-, ., $, /, +, %, space). Code 39 is self-checking and does not require a check digit, though one can be added. Less dense than Code 128 but has excellent compatibility with legacy scanners.
